Description

The ifm efector DataLine IO-Link Master enables the connection of up to eight IO-Link devices, including sensors, valves, or binary input/output modules. The DataLine series IO-Link master features an integrated fieldbus interface with daisy-chain function and IO-Link and Ethernet communication interfaces. This model also has a secondary IIoT port for direct data transfer to high-level software systems without a PLC, separating the automation and IT networks.

The DataLine IO-Link master uses IO-Link and Ethernet communication interfaces to reliably transmit machine data, process parameters, and diagnostic data to the controller. All models have an Ethernet IIoT port with MQTT/JSON protocol. Some models may be configured with an additional Ethernet interface that uses EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, Modbus TCP, or POWERLINK protocols.

The DataLine IO-Link Master offers excellent electromagnetic stability, a wide temperature range, a high protection rating, and a robust housing, making it suitable for harsh industrial environments and the food industry. All models feature A-coded M12 IO-Link and voltage connections. The industrial model has a D-coded M12 Ethernet electrical connection with FKM seals; meanwhile, the hygienic model has an Ethernet connection with EPDM seals.

The IP69K DataLine masters feature 316 stainless steel hardware to withstand the harsh environment. The housing of these hygienic models is convex, providing better cleaning angles and mounting offsets. This prevents particles and bacteria from becoming trapped during cleaning processes.
