The ifm efector SU Puresonic Series Ultrasonic Flow Meter offers highly precise measurement of flow rate and temperature in industries utilizing ultra-pure water, water media, oils and coolants. This covers a wide range of industrial applications including  potable water and chemical treatment plants.

The SUxx2x variants are compatible with 90% of conductive and non-conductive water media. The SUxx3x offerings support 35% glycol solutions and oils with viscosities from 7 to 68mm²/s at 40°C. SUxx5x models are blind ultrasonic transmitters (8–32 VDC) suitable for water, glycol, and oil, and include a configurable analog output (4 to 20 mA, 0 to 10V, or 0.5 to 4.5V). All SU models include a totalizer output for consumption monitoring. 

The SUH flow meter variants are compatible with a range of sanitary applications with FDA and 3A sanitary approvals. The SUH2 and SUH4 variants support food oils from 30 to 68mm2/s at 40°C.

The straightforward pushbutton programming allows the user to easily configure output settings and units of measurement. A TFT display is integrated with most industrial models. LED indicators show switching output status at-a-glance. The IO-Link communication interface transmits process values for visualization for trending, analysis, and work order integration.
