Description
The ifm efector PI Series Pressure Sensor offer models for three applications: sanitary, high temp sanitary, and hazardous.
The flush pressure sensors of the sanitary (PI1) series feature full stainless steel housing and are designed for use in process technology. They are resistant to high-pressure cleaning with aggressive cleaning agents. Their high protection rating IP 69K, a hygienic design and a high temperature resistance qualify the sensors for use in the food and pharmaceutical industries.
The high temp sanitary (PI22/PI23) series pressure sensors are designed for high-temperature applications in the food and beverage industry such as UHT (ultra high temperature) plants. A 4-digit LED display, which is visible from all sides even at greater distances, facilitates set-up, maintenance and operation. The sensors can not only be connected as 3- or 4-wire units but also as loop-powered 2-wire units. This reduces the wiring complexity in new installations and facilitates exchange in existing 2-wire connections.
Parameter setting is effected via the buttons on the sensor or via IO-Link, e.g. using a USB interface. The LINERECORDER SENSOR software is used to visualise, transfer and archive parameter sets.
The pressure sensors of the PI0 series (for hazardous applications) with full stainless steel housing are suitable for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. The units have a switching output which can be programmed as normally closed or normally open, and a scalable analogue output for the output of the measured values. The robustness of the measuring cell and the high repeatability ensure good long-term stability and wear-free operation over millions of pressure cycles. Parameter setting is effected via the buttons on the sensor. A well-readable, sloping display rotatable by 180°, combined with a user-friendly interface, enables fast and easy set-up. The pressure unit to be indicated (bar/mbar, kPa, Mpa, psi) is freely selectable. The electronic lock protects the device from unauthorized access.
