The Rice Lake MSI-8000 remote display uses wireless control to operate weighing systems from a distance. The wireless remote display can be used for viewing MSI ScaleCore-based crane scales and dynamometers, including any RF compatible MSI-3460 Challenger 3 or MSI-7300 Dyna-Link 2 tension dynamometer. Both devices are compact and carry an RF effective range of 300 feet (line of sight) and operate on a license-free 2.4 GHz frequency. With user-friendly keypads, standard function keys for both devices include: On/Off, Zero, Tare and Print. In addition, two user-defined keys are included for peak hold, high resolution, total, view total, net/gross, and units switching. Three selectable setpoints come standard in both models, with two of the selectable setpoints utilizing the programmable user-defined keys.

The MSI-8000 features a heavy-duty NEMA 4/IP65 enclosure, a large, six-digit, one-inch LCD display, and a user-friendly keypad for simple configuration and operation. Just one MSI-8000 communicates wirelessly with up to four compatible MSI devices and an integrated RS-232 data port allows the MSI-8000 to easily interface with peripheral devices such as printers, PCs and scoreboards. Power to the MSI-8000 is supplied by an internal rechargeable lithium polymer battery, which provides up to 24 hours of continuous use between charging.
