Ametek Jofra RTCt-700 Reference Temperature Calibrator

The Ametek Jofra RTCt-700 Reference Temperature Calibrator is an advanced high‑temperature reference temperature calibrator designed for accurate, stable, and traceable calibrations up to 700°C. The RTCt-700 features innovative triple-zone heating technology, dynamic load compensation, and compatibility with intelligent reference sensors. The Ametek Jofra RTCt-700 reference temperature calibrator is available in three configurations: RTCt-A reference temperature calibrator, RTCt-B reference temperature calibrator with input for reference sensor, DLC sensor, and sensors-under-test, and RTCt-C reference temperature calibrator with input for reference sensor and DLC sensor.

The RTCt-700 has a temperature range of 33° to 700°C (91° to 1292°F) and features triple-zone heating technology. With this technology, the top, middle, and bottom heating zones are controlled independently, allowing precise temperature calibrations. The lower zone ensures optimum heat distribution throughout the calibration zone. The middle zone maintains a stable core temperature where sensors under test are placed. The upper zone compensates for heat loss from the open top and large sensor loads. This architecture minimizes axial gradients, reduces the need for additional insulation, enabling calibration of long, liquid-filled, or mechanical sensors. 

A Dynamic Load Compensation sensor is available with B and C models. The accompanying DLC technology measures the temperature in the calibrator's insert and continuously corrects for temperature variations caused by different sensor loads. This allows the RTCt-700 to maintain uniformity in the well, supporting calibration of multiple or thermally demanding sensors without compromising stability or repeatability. 

The RTCt-700 can be used without an external reference sensor. However, users will obtain better accuracy and realize the calibrator's full potential by utilizing the STS-200 reference sensor. Both the STS-200 and DLC sensors contain individual sensor calibration data, allowing users to switch reference sensors and be up and running immediately.
