Description
The Rosemount 490A optical dissolved oxygen sensor is ideal for use in wastewater aeration basins and ponds. The sensor has a low maintenance sensing cap that measures dissolved oxygen using the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)-approved luminescence-quenching method.
The 490A sensor is designed for ease of use and low maintenance, making it ideal for a wide range of applications. It accurately measures in both liquid and gas phases without the need for separate calibrations, and provides reliable readings within 90 seconds of transitioning from dry to wet conditions. Built to last, it features chemical and abrasion resistance, an extended sensor and sensor cap life, and a low-maintenance sensing cap that only needs replacement every two years. Additionally, its easy-to-configure Modbus interface ensures seamless integration and setup.
