The Rion VA-14 Vibration Analyzer is a handheld, single-channel vibration analyzer with FFT analysis and sound measurement capabilities. The standard configuration includes a vibration accelerometer with a built-in amplifier and the main vibration analyzer unit. This model operates with a 100Hz to 20kHz frequency span and offers USB Type-C or LAN connectivity, allowing the device to be used for fieldwork, as a stationary measuring instrument, or integrated into a system by connecting with external communication devices.
The Rion VA-14 Vibration Analyzer is capable of operating in three measurement modes: vibration meter mode, TIME mode, and FFT analysis mode. VM mode allows for simultaneous measurement of acceleration, velocity, displacement, and acceleration crest factor. In TIME mode, the time waveforms of the selected acceleration, velocity, displacement, and envelope can be measured. FTT analyzer mode provides a real-time analysis frequency of up to 20 kHz, and shows time waveform display and spectrum display with up to 3,200 spectral lines. Envelope processing is also supported in FTT mode. In TIME mode and FFT analysis mode, free trigger, level trigger, and external trigger can be used.
Measurement results in each mode are recorded on an SD card. The recording medium supports SDHC cards of up to 32GB. No measurement data is stored in the unit’s internal memory.
Optional features include sound frequency analysis and remote monitoring. By installing the optional program VX-14S, FFT analysis with a connected microphone and preamp is possible. When external communication devices are connected, it is possible to remotely monitor displayed values and calculated values, allowing broader use, such as integrating the device into evaluation systems.
