The Megger large 15kV test leads are made out of double silicon cable. The inner insulation is a different color from the outer sheath so damaged areas are instantly visible. To prevent insulation from compromising the connection each clip is surrounded by moving jaw covers that flex back when the slip is applied to a test piece. These test leads are also fitted with locking HV plugs at the instrument end. This helps prevent the plug from loosing connection or pulling out.
