The WIKA CPG1500 Pressure Gauge features the accuracy of digital measurement technology and the simplicity of an analog gauge. It offers an accuracy of 0.1% of span (optional 0.05% of span) and is temperature-compensated in the range of 14 to 122°F (-10 to 50°C). Readings can be displayed in one of 21 standard units or also in customer specific units, so that intricate conversions are avoided.

The measuring rate can be user-defined to match the type of measurement required. Standard applications usually use three measured values per second. If required, this rate can also be set to 50 measured values per second. The clear display, with integral bar graph display and large text area, assists with the effective analysis of the widest variety of measuring points.

Data Logging and Leak Testing

The Background: Our customer manufactures compressors and seeks a way to monitor pressures and provide leak testing on their large vessels.

The Problem: Until now, the customer has used chart recorders to monitor these pressures. The customer now wants to optimize the process to eliminate costly maintenance and labor associated with using the chart recorder. The pressure port is located on top of the vessel and the chart recorder is sometimes only accessible using a ladder.

The Solution: We recommended the Mensor CPG1500 pressure gauge which features the accuracy of digital measurement technology and the simplicity of an analog gauge. The CPG1500 has an optional data logging function as well as wireless communication with WIKA-CAL software which simplifies the customer’s need to perform both the daily monitoring and the leak test.
