Description

The AEMC Model 1045 megohmmeter is an innovative, battery-powered digital insulation resistance tester. The 1045 incorporates the latest measurement technology and is specifically designed to the most recent international insulation and continuity testing standards as well as EN 61010-1, 300V, Cat. II, IEC 61557 environments.

Testing at 250, 500 and 1000 volts, the AEMC Model 1045 measures insulation resistance , continuity, and resistance while incorporating a 600 V voltmeter which automatically detects and accurately displays AC/DC voltages in the test circuit on each of the insulation test voltage ranges. Above 25V it also provides an audible and visual signal, and inhibits further tests, thus protecting the user and the meter. The 1045 also incorporates a timer function which allows the user to operate the unit hands free for the duration of the test or until the button is pressed again. An exceptionally large digital/analog multi-function display with 34-segment bargraph provides clear and easy readings enhanced by a bright blue electroluminescent backlight. The meter will beep automatically at 30 seconds, 60 seconds and 10 minutes to remind the user to record measurements.

The AEMC Model 1045 megohmmeter offers many features including automatic detection of potentially dangerous voltages when connecting to a sample on the MΩ ranges as well as protection against external voltage surges and enhanced operator safety through automatic discharge of the tested sample. Additionally, the 1045 offers alarm programming for quick tests, lead resistance compensation for accurate continuity measurements, and display of the duration of the measurement for easy DAR and PI measurements.

The AEMC Model 1045 features rugged construction that is unique to megohmmeters. The ergonomic shape fits naturally into the hand and facilitates a firm grip on the meter. A slip-proof and shock-proof holster is directly over-molded on the high impact polycarbonate case. The case is rated IP44.
