TDS Meters
TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) meters are a type of conductivity sensor that measures the amount of dissolved solids in a solution. Conductivity sensors measure the ability of a water sample to conduct an electrical current. Pure water is a poor conductor of electricity but adding ions from dissolved salts and inorganic materials such as alkalis, chlorides, sulfides and carbonate compounds increases the conductivity of a sample making conductivity an important water quality measurement.
