Title 24 Part 6 refers to the “The Energy Efficiency Standards for Residential and Nonresidential Buildings” chapter of California’s Building Standards Code. The code is designed to ensure that building construction and installation achieve a minimum level of energy efficiency and is updated periodically to allow consideration and possible incorporation of new energy efficiency technologies and methods.

The provisions of Title 24, Part 6 set minimum requirements for HVAC systems, water-heating systems, pool and spas, indoor and outdoor lighting, electrical power distribution, and other areas.
