Description
The Additel ADT710 automated gauge reader is an automated calibration system for single-pointer, single-scale analog pressure gauges that combines a precision pressure connection platform with image processing and machine learning to automate gauge reading. When integrated with Additel pressure controllers and ACal calibration software, it performs unattended calibration of analog and digital pressure gauges, reducing manual intervention, minimizing reading errors, and improving consistency and throughput.
The ADT710 automates instrument setup through motorized positioning and vision-guided alignment. It automatically centers the gauge, adjusts platform height, camera distance, and focus, and uses AI-based image recognition to capture gauge readings. An integrated barcode and QR code scanner identifies instruments and transfers information such as model, manufacturer, range, and accuracy into the calibration software, reducing manual data entry.
The ADT710 supports both radial (side-connected) and axial (bottom-connected) pressure gauges without requiring hardware reconfiguration. Intelligent fixturing recognizes gauge orientation, while a dedicated positioning mechanism improves handling of small axial gauges. Multiple standard pressure connectors are included, with support for non-standard thread adapters, and a push-to-connect locking mechanism enables quick instrument changes.
An electronically controlled tapping system stabilizes gauge pointers with adjustable timing to support repeatable calibrations. For higher-volume applications, multiple ADT710 units can be connected in parallel and managed through ACal software, allowing centralized control, synchronized operation, and scalable calibration workflows for laboratory and production environments.
