The VEGA VEGAPULS 6X Radar Sensor for continuous level measurement of liquids and bulk solids provides non-contact measurement suitable for a wide range of industrial applications. Small process fittings are suitable for liquids in small tanks or tight mounting spaces, and the focused radar signal allows measurement in vessels with internal installations such as stirrers or heating spirals. For bulk solids, the sensor is suitable for high silos, large bunkers, and segmented vessels. It is available with either an encapsulated plastic antenna or a lens antenna integrated into a metal flange. The measuring range is up to 120m with a deviation of ≤1mm.

The VEGAPULS 6X operates at W-band 80 GHz, C-band 6 GHz, or K-band 26 GHz frequencies, with a beam angle of 3° depending on the antenna. Process fittings include mounting straps, compression flanges from DN 80 3in, threads from G 3/4 or 3/4 NPT, encapsulated antenna systems, flanges from DN 20 2in, and flanges with swiveling holders from DN 100 4in. It can withstand process pressures from -14.5 to 2320psi and process temperatures from -321° to 842°F. Ambient, storage, and transport temperatures range from -40° to 176°F. Output signals include 4 to 20mA/HART, Profibus PA, Ethernet APL, and Modbus. Bluetooth 5.0 allows wireless connection for setup and diagnostics.
