The ProComSol USB HART Modem with Integrated Power Supply is a compact, solution for performing HART communications between HART-compatible field devices and a Windows or Android device. It allows users to configure and troubleshoot HART transmitters using a simple USB connection while also supplying +24V loop power directly from the USB port or an AC to USB adapter—no external power supply or batteries are required.
This unit offers 1500 Vdc optical isolation between the USB and HART circuits for safe and reliable communication. It includes heavy-duty HART mini-grabber connectors, a built-in loop resistor, and a standard USB Type A interface that supports USB 1.1 and 2.0. The device meets HART Physical Layer Spec HCF_SPEC-54 and supports HART revisions 4 through 7, as well as wirelessHART. It installs easily as a virtual COM port and is compatible with DevCom2000, DevComDroid, and other HART software applications. Housed in a rugged ABS plastic enclosure, the HM-USB-PWR is designed for durability in a variety of environments.
