The Michell Instruments Easidew Pro XP dew point transmitter offers up to ±1.8°Fdp (±1°Cdp) moisture measurement, from -166 to +68°Fdp (-110 to +20°Cdp) in gases or 0 to 1,000 ppmW in liquids, in an explosion proof, aluminum or 316 stainless steel housing. Explosion and flameproof certifications include ATEX, IECEx, cCSAus, INMETRO and TC TR EX approvals. An optional display can be added to include a programmable meter range, decimal point, overload limits and meter scales.
Featuring an industry standard 3/4 inch UNF process connection, the Michell Instruments Easidew Pro XP dew point transmitter also offers a 2-wire 4 to 20mA user-configurable output. A standard flow rate of 0 to 10m/sec is achieved via direct insertion of the Easidew Pro XP or an optional sampling block can be added for a flow rate of 1 to 5 Nl/min. Each Michell Instruments Easidew Pro is cleaned for enriched oxygen and includes an EN 10204 3.1 material certification. The maximum operating pressure range for the Easidew Pro XP is 45 MPa (450 barg).
Please consider these optional accessories.
The Background: Our customer is a plastics manufacturer that needs a highly accurate, explosion-proof inline transmitter with display that can detect trace levels of moisture at high pressures. They also needed several of them with a short lead time.
The Problem: The customer produces LDPE and HDPE which are used in many consumer product including bags, piping, molded part, bottles and many others. The process of making these plastics involves combining ethylene, a by-product of petrochemical processing, with catalysts under high pressure and temperature. The catalysts used in the production are highly sensitive to moisture and the maximum allowable moisture level in some processes is 1 ppmv.
The Solution: We recommended the Michell Instruments Easidew Pro XP Dew Point Transmitter which offers up to ±1.8°Fdp (±1°Cdp) moisture measurement, from -166 to +68°Fdp (-110 to +20°Cdp) in gases or 0 to 1,000 ppmW in liquids, with a 45 MPa (450 barg) pressure rating, in an explosion proof, aluminum or 316 stainless steel housing. This satisfied all the application requirements.
