The E+H Proline Promag W 400 electromagnetic flow meter measures volume flow, conductivity and mass flow. It features certified corrosion protection (EN ISO 12944) for underground or permanent underwater installation making it an ideal fit in water, wastewater and custody transfer industries. The bidirectional measuring principle is not dependent on pressure, density, temperature and viscosity. Because it has no moving parts, the Promag W 400 is maintenance-free and applications suffer no pressure loss due to cross-section constriction.

E+H transmitters do not require proprietary communication system, rather they offer full access to process and diagnostic information via numerous, freely combinable I/Os and fieldbuses. The W 400 allows for up to three analog or digital outputs. Digital communication options include HART, PROFIBUS DP, EtherNet/IP and Modbus RS485. This E+H flow meter is housed in an IP66/67, Type 4X enclosure standard, while IP68, Type 6P protection is also available as an option for the remote sensor. The IP68, Type 6P protection also includes a protective varnish according to EN ISO 12944 C5‐M/Im1/Im2/Im3.

The E+H Proline Promag W 400 electromagnetic flow meter can measure flow from 2.5 gal/min up to 700 Mgal/d and can handle a variety of media temperatures, depending on liner material. Two liner materials are available including hard rubber (32 to 176°F) and polyurethane (-4 to 122°F). The standard maximum measured error is ±0.5 % of reading ± 1 mm/s and the Proline Promag W 400 offers an improved accuracy of ±0.2 % of reading ± 2 mm/s. Optional Heartbeat Technology ensures compliance and process safety at all times.
