The HOBO EG4115 Core data logger has 15 sensor inputs and supports wide range of current transformers for any size load. It is a flexible solution for monitoring multiple circuits in residential and commercial energy monitoring applications. The EG4115 measures AC current, AC voltage, amps, kilowatt hours, kilowatts, volt-amp reactive, volt-amp reactive hours, watt hours, and watts. An embedded web server connects to the interface over the internet or on a local area network. Data can be accessed as granular 1-second averages for the most recent hour of recording.
This product can be used in the following applications:
The Background: Our customer is an energy auditing company that needs an easy and portable solution for monitoring and logging energy parameters from multiple circuits in the facilities for which they provide services.
The Problem: Part of their energy auditing included measuring multiple energy parameters which may include AC current, AC voltage, amps, kilowatt hours, kilowatts, volt-amp reactive, volt-amp reactive hours, watt hours, and watts. Finding an integrated and cost-effective way to measure these parameters has been difficult.
The Solution: We recommended the HOBO EG4115 Core data logger has 15 sensor inputs and supports wide range of current transformers for any size load. It is a flexible solution for monitoring multiple circuits in residential and commercial energy monitoring applications. We recommended the EG4115 paired with HOBO Rogowski Coil Sensors and a Pelican Case to make a portable kit. The EG4115 is powered by mains power from the building so no battery is needed. It is able to handle up to 15 channels total.
