The Flowline EchoPod DL10 Ultrasonic Level Transmitter provides continuous level measurement up to 49.2in (1.25m) with a 4-20 mA signal output, and is configured via our free WebCal software. This non-contact liquid level sensor is ideally suited for corrosive, sticky or dirty liquids, and is broadly selected for small day tank, skid, IBC, sump and process tank level applications.

Small Mixing Tank Level Monitoring

The Background: Our customer is an industrial food processor that needs an automated solution to keep a mixing tank full.

The Problem: The tank is only about 40" tall with a 6" standpipe at the top. It is mostly enclosed but the headspace is open to the atmosphere. For output, customer needs a two-wire 4-20mA output signal to a PLC that controls the valve which allows fluids to fill the tank. This tank is indoors and this should prevent any condensation forming on the face of the sensor.

The Solution: This application is ideal for an ultrasonic level transmitter so we recommended the Flowline EchoPod DL10. The DL10 has the accuracy and output required for the application and will provide simple and long lasting monitoring of fluid level in this tank.
