The Fluke 87V-Ex is the ATEX-certified intrinsically safe version of the Fluke 87V. Containing all the great features of the 87V, the 87V-Ex has been designed to prevent the release of sufficient energy to cause ignition of flammable material making it ideal for hazardous locations.
In addition to a wide range of standard tests and measurements, the Fluke 87V-Ex has the unique feature of allowing accurate voltage and frequency measurements on variable speed motor drives (VSD's). The large 4½ digit LCD display (20,000 count) with bright, two level backlight makes the 87V-Ex easy to read. True RMS AC voltage and current functionality is ideal for taking accurate measurements on non-linear signals.
Fluke 87V-Ex True RMS multimeters feature a built-in thermometer, and perform a wide range of test and measurements including: voltage, current, resistance, capacitance, duty cycle, conductance, continuity and diode test. The meter has a 10,000 µF capacitance range for measuring components and motor caps. The 87V-Ex also includes min/max-average and peak capture to record transients and variations automatically for further analysis. Test lead interference on resistance measurements can be removed via the relative mode.
The Fluke 87V-Ex has a EN61010-1 CAT IV 600 V and CAT III, 1000V electrical safety rating.
