Description

The Testo 417 large vane anemometer offers high quality bearings which yield nearly "friction-free" rotation for direct measurement of air velocity with an NTC sensor used to determine air tempeature. The vanes cover all the measured area - no airflow is lost between the vane and outer ring. The Testo 417 large vane anemometer has a 4" head that averages true flow over its entire area, not just responding to local stray eddies. Just input the duct cross-sectional area (from 0.2 sq. in. to over 100 sq. ft.) to see accurate, real-time CFM calculations.

The Testo 417 large vane anemometer has a basic accuracy of ±0.9°F for temperature and ±(0.1 fpm + 1.5% of m.v.) for air flow. The resolution for the Testo 417 large vane anemometer is 0.1°F and 0.01 fpm, for temperature and air flow respectively, over a range of 32 to 122°F and 50 to 4000 fpm.

Other features of the Testo 417 large vane anemometer include the ability to simply toggle between velocity, CFM, and temperature readings on the clear, backlit display. Flow direction is indicated by an arrow in the display. Timed or multi-point averages are easily accomplished with all parameters and calculations and MIN / MAX values can also be displayed. The Testo 417 large vane anemometer has a "Hold" function that freezes current readings in the display making data recording easy.
