Description

Raytek's ST30 Pro Infrared Non-Contact Thermometer offers accurate readings in a compact and reliable design. The ST30 Pro has a user selectable temperature range of -25 to 950°F (-32 to 510°C), 500 msec reading response time and a weight of 11 ounces. These thermometers are safe to use as they require no contact with the surface measured. The distance to spot size is 12:1.

With a MAX temperature display, 8-point circular laser sighting and rugged rubber overmolding, the Raytek ST30 Pro can prevent downtime by permitting preventative and predictive maintenance by simply pointing, shooting and reading temperature measurements. These thermometers are perfect for automotive and diesel applications, facility maintenance, fire safety, marine maintenance, electrical and industrial, asphalt work and HVAC systems, and these are just of few of the applications in which the ST30 can be utilized.

Technology Explained:

Raytek infrared thermometers measure temperature from a distance by detecting the amount of thermal electromagnetic radiation emitted from the object being measured. This allows users to accurately measure surface temperatures in hazardous or hard-to-reach places, or other situations in which non-contact temperature measurement is desirable. Infrared thermometer technology is useful in a wide range of applications – including industrial, laboratory, food service, fire fighting, hobby and home use. While the technology is relatively simple, the myriad of names given to these devices can be confusing. "Laser Thermometers" makes reference to the laser that helps aim the thermometer. "IR Sensors" and "IR Thermometers" make use of a common abbreviation for "infrared". "Non-Contact Thermometers" is descriptive of the device's ability to measure temperature from a distance. "Radiation Pyrometers" is a scientific/technical term for these devices.
