The MultiRange Pressure Transmitter design incorporates a microprocessor and either a solid-state,
silicon, piezoresistive sensor or a diaphragm based, capacitive cell. The MultiRange product combines
these highly stable sensing technologies with its microprocessor technology for improved accuracy
and reliability, with field-selectable flexibility for the end-user. The MultiRange Pressure Transmitter
offers up to three, field-selectable, pressure ranges in a single unit, which eliminates the need to
stock multiple pressure transmitters.
Two, industry standard, analog output versions are available: a 4-20 mA 2-wire loop powered unit,
or a field selectable 0-5 VDC/0-10 VDC unit. On VDC outputunits, a 0-5 or 0-10 VDC analog output
option may be chosen, with either unidirectional or bi-directional range preference. The choice of
uni-directional or bi-directional is also available on units with a 4-20 mA output. These selections
are accomplished with easy-to-use, push-on jumpers. The PC board is mounted inside the cover
of the unit, which makes for easy installation, trouble-shooting and/or replacement. The design
incorporates a push-button Zero feature, which eliminates traditional "trim pots" that typically
require many turns to arrive at a particular setting. A simple push of a button adjusts the Zero
of this MultiRange Pressure Transmitter.
Applications
- Measure pressure in an air duct or plenum
-
Measure or monitor air in air handling systems where movement, handling and/or
cleanliness/quality of air is important
- Monitors blower speed
- Signal air velocity adjustments to computer-controlled, variable-speed fan motor
- Monitor fan operation
