The JFlow Controls JFEX explosion proof electric actuator is a compact and lightweight device that provides high output torque (max. 80,000 In-Lbs/9000 NM). Its enclosure uses radial seals and o-rings that provide protection to waterproof IP67 (NEMA 4 & 6) and optional watertight IP68. It is CSA approved NEMA 4, 4x, and 7 explosion proof with different size handwheels depending on actuator torque and includes knob for easy operation. It contains a specially designed Class F induction motor to generate high starting toque and high efficiency equipped with thermal protector to prevent damage from over heating.

The actuator contains many additional features such as high corrosion resistance inside and out with hard anodized aluminum with polyester powder coating and a compartment heater with thermostat for condensation control. There is a self-locking function provided by double worm gearing, with no brake required. The JFEX actuator contains a removable drive bushing for easy machining and mounting. Additionally, it has an auto-declutching manual override handwheel with pad-lockable auto-/manual switchable lever.
