Description

The GE Druck LP 1000 Series pressure sensor is a wet/wet differential pressure transmitter that is ideally suited for use in clean room HVAC monitoring and control. The GE Druck LP 1000 Series pressure sensor offers several improvements over traditional sensors such as user-accessible damping, excellent long-term stability, and wet/wet differential operation where conductive fluids may be exposed to the measurement diaphragm.

The GE Druck LP 1000 Series pressure sensor offers a dramatic improvement in reliability with improved stability and the ability to tolerate condensing media. The design of the GE Druck LP 1000 Series pressure sensor has been field proven with more than 10 years in applications where high humidity and condensing media are a daily occurrence. The damping adjustment feature allows the user to slow the response time to eliminate nuisance trips of alarms when doors are opened and closed.

The DC version of the GE Druck LP 1000 Series pressure sensor adds the ability to switch the pressure ports to the front of the device, thus permitting calibration to be performed from the front of the panel. This eliminates the need for additional personnel behind the panel. The GE Druck LP 1000 Series pressure sensor has optional adjustable set-point Red and Green Status LEDs.

Applications

Here's how some of our customers use this product...

Monitoring Differential Pressure in Clean Rooms

The Background: A pharmaceutical company needs to measure differential pressure in clean rooms. This is a critical measurement because some rooms must retain negative pressure to keep atmospheric particles from escaping and some must retain positive pressure to keep atmospheric particles from entering.

The Problem: The customer requires high accuracy but since this is a retrofit, ease of installation is also very important.

The Solution: The GE Druck LP1000 pressure transmitter has an accuracy of 0.25% FS at ultra low ranges. The customer selected -0.5 to 0.5 inH2O bidirectional to outfit the entire plant. They now have over 60 installed in sensitive pharma clean rooms.

Pharmaceutical Clean Room Replacement Sensors

The Background: Our customer is a controls company contracted to replace existing low differential pressure sensors throughout 7 pharmaceutical facilities due to inadequate performance.

The Problem: The application requires wet/wet pressure sensors capable of providing premium accuracy over a very low (-0.1 to 0.1 inH2O) range.

The Solution: The GE Druck LP1000 was selected because it is ideally suited for use in clean room HVAC monitoring and control. The LP1000 offers accuracy to ±0.25% FS over ultra-low pressure ranges. Additionally, the panel mount bezel allowed for simple, drop-in replacement of the existing sensors.
