Description

The Honeywell FS24X Plus IR3 Flame Detector is the latest addition to the FSX series of advanced electro-optical detection systems for both hydrocarbon and hydrogen fires. Utilizing Honeywell's trademarked WideBand IR infrared technology allows for early detection of fires before they spread. Comprehensive coverage is achieved with long-range, wide-angle sensors that can detect fires at 200ft. The FS24X Plus features a LED Halo ring alert system for easy visibility up to 50ft.

The FS24X Plus offers standard (SM4) or marine (SM4-M) mounting options, for installation on pipes or flat surfaces in vertical or horizontal orientations. A sunshade comes standard with the detector. The FS24X Plus has an operating temperature range from -55 to 75º C, ensuring reliable reads in extreme environments. Three infrared sensor bands are configured to monitor key wavelengths most likely to capture the start of a fire. This multi-spectrum detection system reduces the inhibition of environmental factors such as smoke, fog and rain, that can more easily impact the accuracy of single-band detectors.

The FS24X stores up to 5000 events for a detailed log history, and up to ten, 30 second FirePics, taken leading up to and in the midst of a fire. Building further upon the design of its predecessor, vital data is now more easily retrieved from the FS24X Plus via the addition of a micro USB port. The FS24X Plus is used in conjunction with Honeywell's Flame Manager software, an easy to navigate platform for data analysis after an incident, and system troubleshooting.

The FS24X Plus is 100% backward compatible with FS24X for replacement applications.
