Description

The Kobold PSR/PS paddle flow switch is a simple and economical yet reliable monitoring instrument that can be used in flow switching applications.

The Kobold PSR/PS paddle flow switch operates as follows: the flowing medium presses against the paddle, which is fitted to one end of a balance arm that is in direct contact with a pre-stressed leaf spring. At the other end of the balance arm is a permanent magnet. This magnet actuates a reed contact located within a movable housing outside the media.

The Kobold PSR/PS paddle flow switch's reed contact switches on or off depending on the position of the permanent magnet and the switch housing. The status of the switch may then be used to electrically control the fluid flow. The movable reed paddle flow switch on the Kobold PSR/PS paddle flow switch allows the contacts to be set either normally open (N/O) or normally closed (N/C). The orientation of the Kobold PSR/PS paddle flow switch is for horizontal pipes.

Choose brass or stainless steel (SS 304) for your Kobold PSR/PS paddle flow switch. The maximum pressure for brass units is 1450 PSIG and 3600 PSIG for stainless steel units. The leaf spring and beam are both made of SS 301.
