Pinless Moisture Meters
Moisture meters are used to determine the moisture content of wood, concrete, paper, and a whole host of other materials. Most moisture meters have two pins which are inserted into the material being tested. An electric current is run between the two pins and the resistance is measured. The amount of resistance corresponds to the moisture content. Unfortunately, this damages the surface of the material being tested. For materials that cannot be damaged by pin-type moisture meters, a pinless moisture meter is used. Pinless moisture meters have electromagnetic sensor pads that contact the wood surface but does not physically break or damage the surface. Pinless moisture meters typically provide the capability to measure moisture content from the surface down to 0.25″ or deep depth measurements to 0.75″.Filter Pinless Moisture Meters
