The VEGA VEGABAR 82 Pressure Transmitter is a 4 to 20 mA pressure sensor designed to measure gases, vapors, and liquids, including abrasive substances such as sand. The CERTEC ceramic measuring cell provides wear-free operation, and high resistance to overload and vacuum. Pressure ranges span -14.5 to 1450psig, with an accuracy class down to <0.05%, depending on configuration. The measuring cell incorporates an temperature sensor, whose value can be displayed or output alongside the process signal.

The VEGABAR 82 supports local measurement display and on-site adjustment via the optional PLICSCOM display and adjustment module, or remotely via a PC running PACTware with the corresponding DTM. A Bluetooth version is also available, enabling wireless configuration and diagnostics from smartphones or tablets (iOS/Android) or a PC with PACTware and a Bluetooth USB adapter. Beyond the standard two-wire 4 to 20 mA and 4 to 20 mA/HART electronics, digital communication versions supporting Profibus PA and Foundation Fieldbus are available, along with a slave sensor variant for electronic differential pressure measurement.

Wetted components are available in 316L, PVDF, Alloy C-plated, or Sapphire-ceramic, with process fittings ranging from G½ threads to DN15/¾in flanges and hygienic fittings. Process seals are available in FKM, FFKM, or EPDM. The housing is available as a single or double-chamber version in plastic, aluminum, or stainless steel, with protection ratings up to IP68 with external electronics, as well as IP69K. The instrument is suitable for use in hazardous areas, with approvals including ATEX and IEC.
