Description

The VEGA VEGABAR 38 pressure sensor is equipped with a switching function and ceramic measuring cell for measuring gases, vapors, and liquids. It is designed for applications requiring robustness, hygiene, and accurate pressure measurement. The device includes a display for local adjustment and a colored 360° switching-status indicator.

The VEGABAR 38 sensor uses a CERTEC ceramic measuring cell, which converts pressure into an electrical signal that the integrated electronics process into a standardized output. The wetted parts are available in 316L stainless steel, PVDF, duplex steel, PEEK, or sapphire-ceramic, with FKM, EPDM, or FFKM process seals depending on the process connection. Housing options include 316L stainless steel and PBT plastic, with protection classes up to IP66/IP67.

Electronics options include two-wire 4–20 mA, three-wire IO-Link, and versions with 4–20 mA and transistor outputs. Connections are available through ISO 4400 or M12 x 1 plugs, depending on the electronics configuration. An optional universal connection for hygienic adapters supports different process fittings, while Bluetooth enables wireless configuration and diagnostics.
