ACI MSR-50 Series Smoke Detection Remote Accessories

The ACI MSR-50 Series smoke detection remote accessories provide remote testing, resetting, and status indication for ACI duct smoke detectors and other monitoring devices. Remote accessories may be required by the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ), particularly when a duct smoke detector is not connected to a fire alarm system or remote test station. The series includes two controller models: the MSR-50RM, with a hidden magnet test switch and pushbutton reset, and the MSR-50RK, with key-operated test and reset functions.

Both models of the MSR-50 series are available as single-gang remote indicator/control units, with optional strobe or sounder/strobe assemblies. The assemblies are compatible with standard Decora-style cover plates and can be mounted horizontally or vertically using the included “SMOKE” and “FIRE” lens decals. The strobe provides visual alarm indication, while the sounder/strobe provides both audible and visual indication. These features are intended only for duct smoke detector status indication and are not ADA-compliant or intended for life-safety notification or evacuation.
