Description

The Memosens CCS55E free bromine sensor with Memosens technology for determining free bromine in water treatment and disinfection applications. The sensor uses an amperometric measuring principle based on hypobromous acid (HOBr) and is available with measuring ranges of 0 to 5mg/L, 0 to 20mg/L, or 0 to 200mg/L (ppm) free bromine. Memosens technology provides non-contact digital signal transmission, IP68 protection, and the ability to precalibrate the sensor in a laboratory for fast sensor replacement and increased measuring point availability.

The CCS55E delivers a response time of T90 < 20 seconds after completing polarization and a measurement error of ±2% and ±5µg/L (ppb) of the measured value, whichever is greater. The sensor provides long-term stable performance with drift of less than 1% per month and operates in process temperatures from 32 to 130°F and pH values from 5 to 10. An additional pH measurement can be used to compensate for the pH dependency of hypobromous acid concentration. The sensor can be integrated with Liquiline transmitters and other Memosens sensors for multiparameter water analysis.
