The E+H ISEmax CAS40D digital ammonium and nitrate sensor is an ion-selective sensor designed for continuous measurement of ammonium, nitrate, and pH directly in municipal wastewater treatment basins. It is used in aeration basins to monitor ammonium and nitrate concentrations, support control of ammonium removal, and enable load-based aeration control. At the inlet to aeration basins, it measures pH-compensated ammonium loading to help assess incoming treatment demands.

The CAS40D sensor performs measurements directly in the basin without reagents, sample conditioning, measuring containers, or sample pumps. Optional potassium and chloride measurement compensates for ion cross-sensitivities to improve accuracy. An automatic flushing unit reduces maintenance requirements, while Memosens technology stores sensor-specific data to support reliable data transfer, simplified handling, and predictive maintenance.
