Istec RecipSys 200 Rod Drop Monitor

The Istec RecipSys 200 rod drop monitor is a compact monitoring system designed for reciprocating compressors that provides real-time measurement of rider band wear. By delivering continuous data, it removes the need for periodic production shutdowns required for manual inspections, reducing downtime. The transmitter-based design makes the system suitable for a wider range of compressors while maintaining a relatively low financial and technical impact. It can function as a standalone monitoring solution.

The system is expandable to any cylinder configuration and is compatible with any sensor brand, allowing integration into existing monitoring systems. It filters the displacement signal to the correct phase angle to ensure reliable measurements for compressors operating at fixed or variable speeds. A triggered signal method improves accuracy compared to overall measurements. Two industry-standard 4–20 mA analog outputs support straightforward integration with other monitoring suites.
