Description
The SpeedSys 300 is a SIL 3–rated overspeed protection system for rotating machinery that functions as an independent protection layer. It is designed to detect overspeed and acceleration and initiate a shutdown with fast response times. The system complies with current safety standards and supports long proof-test intervals of up to 10 years. It features isolated inputs, eliminating the need for external barriers or isolators, and includes continuous data validation to support accurate operation.
The SpeedSys 300 is compatible with all common sensor types and can be installed in new or existing machinery due to its compact design. It can be configured as a standalone system or integrated into multi-module voting architectures, depending on the required safety level. An optional monitoring module can be added to provide expanded monitoring and connectivity functions.
