Description
The Honeywell MIDAS S2 is a modular gas detector designed for use in semiconductor, laboratory, and light industrial environments. It can detect over 35 toxic, ambient, and flammable gases and monitor points up to 30 meters away. The device regulates flow to maintain accurate detection and supports standard power and communication outputs, including relays, 4 to 20mA analog, and Modbus TCP/IP or Ethernet.
The MIDAS S2 uses factory calibrated, plug-and-play sensor cartridges, which simplifies replacement and reduces calibration errors. It includes a 2.4-inch color display with LEDs for visual alerts and a keypad interface for basic control. Password protection helps maintain system security, and the unit can be powered via standard 24 VDC or Power over Ethernet (PoE).
