• The Emerson Trex 2 Radar Master application provides access to enhanced echo curve functionality from the Radar Master software through a field communicator. It is used on the intrinsically safe AMS Trex 2 device to support radar configuration tasks performed in the field.
• The Auto Sync feature in AMS Trex 2 maintains data consistency with the AMS Device Manager database. Field changes are automatically recorded with time stamps. When a WiFi connection is available, updates are transferred in real time. If connectivity is not available, changes are stored on the AMS Trex device and synchronized when a WiFi or USB connection is detected.
• The Radar Master application allows users to create a tank’s geometric profile directly at the installation site. Graphical representations assist in verifying configuration parameters during setup.
• The power-the-loop function in AMS Trex 2 allows compatible radar devices to be powered in the field prior to wiring, depending on device power requirements. This supports installation and configuration activities before the tank is placed into service.
• The enhanced echo curve feature supports adjustment of measurement settings by allowing disturbances within the tank to be identified and filtered. Echo curves can also be used to analyze unexpected or intermittent measurement behavior, supporting troubleshooting and process analysis.
