Description
The Honeywell OmniPoint gas transmitter is a comprehensive gas detection solution designed to operate in hazardous locations and support multiple sensors for detecting toxic, oxygen, and flammable gas hazards. This unit can support up to sensor modules and one IR detector, allowing flexibility and scalability to meet various safety requirements. The OmniPoint transmitter is designed for use in tough environments with temperatures between -67 to 167°F, and it is available in aluminum and stainless-steel versions.
The OmniPoint transmitter features a full-color, touchscreen display and can be configured with support for HART, Bluetooth, and Modbus communication protocols. The HART port, when included, offers communication over the 1st channel of 4 mA to 20 mA output compliant with HART 7. Configurable HART communication modes include P-to-P or multi-drop mode (up to 8 multi-drops). The optional Modbus output module provides an isolated RS-485 output to enable the transmitter to connect to a
multi-drop Modbus network. The optional Bluetooth connection facilitates wireless communication of the OmniPoint transmitter to a smartphone or tablet.
The Bluetooth capabilities of the OmniPoint transmitter allow simplified, non-intrusive set-up and maintenance of the device when used in a hazardous area. When paired with a mobile device, it provides advanced diagnostics that deliver power, temperature, sensor, electronics, and firmware monitoring. It also offers automatic reporting to simplify end-of-day maintenance logging.
