Description

The Panametrics HygroPro II moisture transmitter is an intrinsically safe, compact, loop-powered display transmitter designed to meet the requirements of industrial and hydrocarbon processing applications. The HygroPro II can measure moisture in both gases and hydrocarbon liquids, providing a 4-20mA output along with HART digital communication capability and utilizes Panametrics' latest -FX aluminum oxide moisture sensor.

The HygroPro II has a backlit display with a 6-button keypad to allow for viewing of up to three parameters simultaneously and allows easy navigation of the software for configuration of the probe measurement, analog and digital (HART) output, and other functions and diagnostics. The HygroPro II has built-in networking capability through the digital HART interface which allows for multiple units to be connected on a single network.

The HygroPro II utilizes an aluminum oxide moisture sensor, a built-in thermistor and optional pressure transducer to provide real-time measurement of the sample dew/frost point, temperature, and pressure. This allows for the calculation of other moisture content parameters such as ppmv in gases, liquids, and pounds per million standard cubic feet in natural gas or percent relative humidity. The glass-to-metal seal in the probe mount is certified to meet ANSL/UL 122701 single seal standards ensuring reliable isolation and protection of the probe electronics.

The HygroPro II consists of a display/keypad housing and a replaceable transducer element (RTE), which contains the aluminum oxide moisture sensor, thermistor, and an optional pressure transducer with the associated electronics. The RTE is field replaceable by loosening a couple of mounting screws and disconnecting an internal cable.
