Description

The Georg Fischer 5-Series Type 514 Diaphragm Valve utilizes a threaded bonnet to valve body connection, in place of traditional metal body bolts. The all-plastic connection of the 5-Series Type 514 has a higher thermal expansion rate than such metal components, eliminating the need for retorquing after hot line shut downs. The plastic material is also ideal for applications in which corrosive chemicals are present in the atmosphere. The elimination of valve body bolt holes also decreases the grade of the weir and optimizes flow path. This significantly increases the Cv value when compared to traditionally designed diaphragm valves.

All Georg Fischer 5-Series Type 514 Diaphragm Valves are tested in accordance to ISO9393 and designed to ISO16138 standards. They are manufactured under ISO9001 for Quality and ISO14001 for Environmental Management. Following assembly, valves are tested and certified bubble tight exceeding Class VI standards.
