The Emerson PACSystems RXi HMI is IIOT ready with protocol support, OPC-UA for enhanced data contextualization, and MQTT for easy cloud connectivity. The multi-touch screen is constructed using Projected Capacitive Touch (PCT/PCAP) screen technology to deliver higher brightness and clarity as well as ten-point touch sensitivity. For outdoor options, glare is significantly reduced by the optically bonded and UV protected glass screens.
The RXi HMI deploys HTML5 pages representing the display screens as created. Clients are based on web browsers and can be local to the device via the HMI control panel, or remote via PC or mobile device. Graphics are automatically converted to scalable vector graphics to dynamically display, as predefined in the project, in local client instances using the HTML5 browser.
The Data Trending Tool provides snapshots of productivity and quality, and the SQLite Database tool and PAC Analyzer help troubleshoot problems and minimize downtime. The OPC-UA and MQTT protocols enable easy communication for cloud-based services and data contextualization.
The RXi HMI also shields machine interface against both digital and physical risks across a wide range of environments. The product is designed in accordance with the IEC 62443 Global Automation Cybersecurity Standards to support digital security strategies. Certifications cover both high pressure water jets and Marine applications, with additional approvals for use in hazardous material applications and -20° to 65°C operating temperatures.
