Description
The Armstrong International 814/815/816 Inverted Bucket Steam Trap ensures efficient, continuous condensate drainage. A cast iron casing, stainless steel internals and chrome steel valve increases durability and overall service life, reducing maintenance costs. This series is outfitted with various NPT connection sizes from 1 to 2-1/2 inches, with maximum pressure ratings up to 250psi, depending on configuration.
The inverted bucket design of the 814/815/816 includes a free-floating stainless steel mechanism, which allows the bucket to open the valve against system pressure. This mechanism is located at the top of the steam trap, inhibiting dirt accumulation on the discharge orifice. This orifice is secured with a water seal, preventing live steam loss. A small vent hole in the inverted bucket permits automatic air and CO2 venting at steam temperature.
