Watlow's K-Ring® nozzle heater takes technology a step ahead of the competition. Thanks to its
innovative design, plastic molders no longer have to compromise with sloppy fit tolerances, uneven
temperature profiles, or short heater life. Featuring a machined brass casting construction, the Watlow
K-Ring® nozzle heater can handle very high temperatures while providing maximum heat transfer.
With a precision machined inside diameter, the Watlow K-Ring® nozzle heater fits perfectly and
doesn't even require clamping bands. Precision fit and the excellent thermal conductivity of brass allow
the Watlow K-Ring® nozzle heater to give you an extremely even temperature profile.
Watlow K-Ring® nozzle heaters have operating temperatures up to 1200°F (650°C) and
can generate watt densities up to 260 W/in2 (40 W/cm2). The brass casting
construction and stainless steel outer casing protects the heater. Sealed construction of the heater body
eliminates contamination. The adaptor also effectively seals the lead exit. Distributed wattage allows
heat to be precisely placed for an even temperature profile. Heater efficiency can be increased with
optional polishing of the stainless steel outer casing.
Applications of the Watlow K-Ring Nozzle Heater
- Plastic injection molding nozzles
- Sprue bushings in plastic molding equipment
- Process heating of liquids and gases in processing lines
