E+E Elektronik moisture meters are designed specifically to measure the moisture content of oil. Monitoring the moisture content in lubricating, hydraulic and insulation oil is an important factor in maintaining the functional reliability of equipment and machines in the long term. The moisture content in transformer oil, for example, has a considerable influence on insulating capabilities. Continuous monitoring of moisture levels is therefore essential in daily operation. The moisture content in oil can be specified in absolute terms, as water content [ppm] or in relative terms as water activity [aw].
