Description
The Emerson Mini Field Agent IIoT Device technology is the critical link required in an IIoT chain for cloud-enabled analytics. Field Agents provide a rugged, pre-configured solution for secure data collection and conveyance from the machine. Connect to nearly any industrial asset and leverage GE's Industrial Internet Platform to collect data, analyze trends and uncover insights that improve operations and asset performance.
The Mini Field Agent has build out remote monitoring & diagnostics capabilities safely and securely, utilizing encrypted channels that preserve data time stamp, quality and fidelity. Leverage the power of the industrial internet by accessing real-time asset performance data and advanced predictive analytics. Armed with this valuable information, operators can optimize equipment uptime and OEMs can proactively maintain and service their equipment fleet, improving operations, growing service revenues and winning new business.

Optimizing Operation of Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT)
The Background: Our customer is a wastewater facility that needs to maintain water levels via pumping stations in order to run their agitators.
The Problem: The facility currently has a control system with which they are happy but they would like to add remote viewing as well as additional insight.
The Solution: We recommended the GE Automation Mini Field Agent IIoT Device and GE Predix cloud services. With this system, the customer is able to collect and analyze data from any sensor in their system and subscribe to other data (such as weather) for a better overall understanding of the entire ecosystem impact. It can also meet the customer’s desire for simple remote secure data viewing.
