Description

The NDC BenchMike Pro Laser Micrometer gives operators a simple and repeatable system for measuring product samples and immediately knowing whether they meet specifications within tolerances of less than 1 micron. Non-contact laser technology allows fast and accurate dimensional measurements including diameter, multiple ODs, ovality, part position, multiple part dimensions (OD and ID), wall thickness, total runout, and gap settings between rollers.

The NDC BenchMike Pro Laser Micrometer uses a combination of built-in auto-calibration and dual-differentiation technology providing accuracy without field calibration. Every system includes a programmable RS-232C interface to collect and send data to storage and control systems. The BenchMike Pro provides a variety of input/output connectors including two serial ports (DB9 and USB), a digital I/O port, a fixture port, and a scan output BNC port allowing flexible integration with other devices. A magnified touch-screen display with pop-up menus and libraries makes it easy to view dimensional measurements, access gauge and system information, and change parts. Screen layouts are customizable and designed to be intuitive for users familiar with graphical operating systems like Windows.

The BenchMike Pro offers an extensive line of optional, ready-to-mount modular fixtures from simple manual fixtures to fully automatic and intelligent fixtures that can hold workpieces properly and effectively for any gauging need. Simply attach these easy-to-install fixtures to the BenchMike Pro for precise, reliable measurements without calibration. Model 25 measures products up to 25 mm in diameter while Model 50 measures items up to 50 mm. Non-contact laser technology and a compact design allows off-line measurement almost anywhere. The BenchMike Pro is used worldwide on extrusion plant floors and quality control (QC) laboratories to give operators and technicians immediate feedback of product dimensions.

Applications of the BenchMike Pro Include:

  • Communication Cable – LAN/Data, Telecom, Coaxial and more
  • Power & Building Jacketed Cable & Wire
  • Medical Tubing
  • Automotive Hose and Tubing
  • Heat-Shrink Tubes
