The Reuter-Stokes Flame Tracker UV sensor is designed for use with multiple fuels, low NOx combustors and steam injection. Designed to replace existing sensors, the Flame Tracker is applicable to all GE land-based and marine-based gas turbines, regardless of size.
In addition to its sensitivity to short UV wavelengths, the Flame Tracker's silicon carbide (SiC) photodiode is highly sensitive to the longer UV wavelengths that easily penetrate the fog of fuel and steam. The SiC sensor also has an analog output with a very wide dynamic range and rapid response time. These features allow the Flame Tracker to report flame status in less than 25 milliseconds and improve the performance and availability of your gas turbine.
The Flame Tracker also reduces maintenance requirements. The flame sensor is equipped with quick disconnect connectors, allowing sensor replacement time to be reduced from hours to minutes. Its improved sensor-cooling feature lowers the impact of surrounding heat and extends the life of electronics. Providing a 4–20 mA output signal, the Flame Tracker operates reliably with any fuel—-with or without steam injection. The Flame Tracker also requires low voltage, which eliminates special wiring and explosion-proof conduit requirements.
