The SpotSee ShockLog 298 impact monitor utilizes advanced tri-axial piezoelectric accelerometer technology and headlines the ShockWatch series of impact monitors and recorders. The ShockLog298 records impact events, vibration and internal temperature of up to 870 events. Multiple sensors record direction, amplitude and duration of impact force. SpotSee ShockLog 298 users can use this data to determine baseline damage boundaries, detect mishandling in shipping, alert recipients to inspect goods and equipment for potential damage and make necessary adjustments to product packaging and handling procedures.
The self-contained design of the SpotSee ShockLog 298 impact monitor leaves it free of cables and wires and features LED lights for visual notifications of alarms and warnings. With user-programmable wake-up values, the ShockLog 298's battery life can last up to 18 months. Users can transmit this SpotSee impact monitor's data via iButton interface, USB connection or over wireless.
Several optional sensors are available to expand the SpotSee ShockLog 298's monitoring capabilities. A GPS coordinate recorder allows users to pinpoint the exact GPS location of an event. For difficult to access locations, a ZigBee radio frequency (RF) communication module can be added, allowing the ShockLog 298 to be programmed or have its data downloaded over an RF link. Other optional sensors include external temperature and humidity and tilt and roll monitoring.
