Infrared Flamable Gas Detector

The Background: A cosmetics manufacturer requires personal gas detectors capable of detecting flammable gases for employees on the production floor.

The Problem: A number of compounds are present in the facility which foul Catalytic Bead LEL sensors and keep them from performing accurately.

The Solution: The BW Clip4 Multigas Detector utilizes an infrared LEL sensor which is not affected by the compounds which foul the Catalytic Bead sensors. Additionally, the Clip4 is a 4-gas detector though the customer only needs to detect LEL and O2. The IntelliDox programming/calibration station was used to shut off the CO and H2S sensors so employees wouldn't see those on the display or be bothered by false alarms.
