The YSI Model 5239 probe is used for measuring dissolved oxygen in the field. The probe is rugged, with the DO and temperature sensors enclosed in a heavy duty probe guard. The probe is designed to fit BOD bottles with a 5 degree taper such as those predominately used in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

The 5239 features cap membranes for easy membrane replacement and is available with 10, 25 or 50 foot cables which are directly connected to the probe body making it waterproof. A 5-pin MS connector at the end of the cable makes the 5239 fully compatible with all YSI 50 series DO meters retaining the accuracy of the system.

The 5239 has been optimized for YSI meters which have a micro-processor for sampling and processing data, such as YSI Models 50B and 52. The meter must be used with an adapter (5011) in order to be used with the Model 5000 and 5100 bench top instruments.
